Job Description

The Energy Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing energy efficiency programs and initiatives across the shop floor. This role requires a hands-on approach to monitor and optimize energy usage, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and achieving cost savings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy management and practical experience working on the shop floor, with a focus on sustainable operations Energy Management: Develop and implement energy management strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs. Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement. Monitor and analyze energy usage data to track performance and identify trends. Collaborate with shop floor personnel to implement energy-saving measures. Experience in supporting/developing a Energy monitoring platform Sustainable Operations: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of shop floor operations. Promote the use of renewable energy sources and sustainable materials. Monitor and report on sustainability metrics and progress towards goals. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal energy and environmental regulations. Prepare and submit energy and sustainability reports and documentation as required. Technical Expertise: Utilize energy management software and tools to optimize performance. Provide technical support and guidance on energy-related and sustainability issues. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management, with at least 4 years on the shop floor. Strong knowledge of energy management and sustainability principles, practices, and technologies.
