Emergency Medical Technician trainer

Job Summary:

GD Goenka Healthcare Academy, Siliguri is seeking an experienced EMT Trainer to deliver high-quality education and hands-on training to students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician course. The trainer will play a key role in shaping the next generation of first responders by teaching essential emergency medical procedures and protocols aligned with NSDC/HSSC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver theoretical and practical training sessions as per the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) curriculum.
• Teach life-saving techniques such as CPR, trauma care, patient assessment, airway management, and emergency transportation.
• Train students in the proper use of medical equipment such as stretchers, defibrillators, oxygen tanks, and immobilization devices.
• Develop, update, and implement lesson plans, assessments, and hands-on simulations.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, practical demonstrations, and feedback sessions.
• Supervise students during clinical postings and real-world emergency scenarios, if applicable.
• Coordinate with hospitals, ambulance services, and emergency departments for field training opportunities.
• Ensure safety standards and academic guidelines are followed during training.
• Support students in preparing for certification exams and job readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Emergency Medical Technology, Paramedical Sciences, or equivalent.
• Certification as an EMT-B or EMT-A from a recognized institution (preferably NSDC/HSSC certified).
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical or field experience as an EMT or paramedic.
• Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
• Proficient in handling medical emergencies and emergency response protocols.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to train students using practical demonstrations and real-life case scenarios.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹44,782.31 per month
