Job Description

Role Overview

hands-on

  • Circuit design (analog/digital, power electronics, protection)
  • Microcontroller integration
  • Schematic and PCB design
  • End-to-end hardware development from prototype to production

Key Responsibilities

Circuit Design & Analysis

  • Design analog/digital circuits for embedded systems
  • Build custom power supply circuits: buck/boost converters, linear regulators
  • Implement protection circuits: overvoltage, reverse polarity, ESD, current limiting
  • Perform intelligent component selection (electrical, thermal, cost, lifecycle)

Embedded System Integration

  • Interface microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, etc.) with sensors and peripherals
  • Design communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet
  • Handle signal conditioning and level translation where needed
  • Understand signal integrity, grounding, and noise mitigation in mixed-signal designs

Schematic & PCB Development

  • Develop production-ready schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts
  • Use Altium Designer, KiCAD, or Eagle for design and layout
  • Apply layout best practices: power distribution, trace impedance, analog/digital isolation

Prototyping, Testing & Validation

  • Perform hardware bring-up and debugging using lab tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer)
  • Validate electrical functionality and system-level behavior
  • Create and maintain all design documentation: schematics, BOMs, Gerbers, test procedures, and reports
  • Work closely with firmware and mechanical teams for full-stack integration
  • Coordinate with external vendors for PCB fabrication and assembly

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master’s in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in circuit and embedded system design
  • Proficient in PCB tools (Altium, KiCAD, Eagle)
  • Strong in power electronics, analog/digital interfacing, microcontroller-based design
  • Deep understanding of component behavior, datasheet interpretation, and electrical analysis
  • Hands-on with debugging, test equipment, and circuit validation
  • Familiar with EMI/EMC, grounding, and layout best practices
