Electrical Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design power distribution and lighting systems for manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial and commercial facilities.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, and schematics based on customer requirements.
• Perform calculations and select motors, drives, AC, and cable selections based on design standards.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes.
• Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Develop electrical drawings using

  AutoCAD

  for wiring, conduit, and grounding plans.
• Perform power utility coordination and work with

  277/480V building services

  .
• Conduct power distribution and calculations, including for switchboards, panel boards, transformers, and wire sizing.
• Select and size UPS for SCADA systems and three-phase inverters.
• Design industrial control panels for

  PLC, RIO, and VFD

  .
• Write regular progress reports and present them to project managers and clients.
• Help resolve Change Request Notices and Requests for Information.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in the use of

  AutoCAD software

  .
• Hands-on experience in preparing single-line diagrams, panel drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to perform calculations for and select Motors, Drives, AC, and Cables.
• Knowledge of

  UL508A, IEC, NEMA

  , and other relevant standards.
• Experience in electrical panel design.
• Experience in Food, Beverage, or Pharmaceutical Facilities or Industry Engineering is preferred.
• Ability to produce electrical designs on a multi-discipline project.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good general computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Tool knowledge of

  AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and EPlan P8

  is an added advantage.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics.
