Elasticsearch Engineer (ELK Stack)

We are seeking skilled and motivated Elasticsearch Engineers to join our team focused on delivering robust search, analytics, and reporting solutions using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and search views to enhance modern observability and reporting capabilities. This position is perfect for engineers who are excited to work with cutting-edge search technologies and contribute to improving system visibility and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate within the Scrum Team during the MVP phase. - Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines into Elasticsearch from diverse sources. - Guide and support development teams in enhancing application logging strategies. - Design and maintain customer-facing search views using Kibana or similar. - Monitor and manage Elasticsearch indexes (e.g. size, performance, growth). - Assist in the deployment and maintenance of Elasticsearch on Linux environments. - Work with IT operations to define long-term hosting and scaling strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience with Elasticsearch / ELK Stack. - Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL data models. - Scripting abilities in Python or Ruby for data transformation and ingestion. - Knowledge of Regex for building and tuning log parsers. - 5-8 years of programming experience with C# and/or Java. - Basic Linux system administration knowledge. - Understanding of full-text search (FTS) concepts, including token filters/tokenizers (preferred).
