A Functional EHS Consultant specializes in implementing and optimizing EHS solutions within enterprise systems like SAP. This role involves translating regulatory requirements into system configurations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing operational safety and sustainability. Key Responsibilities EHS System Implementation: Lead the configuration and deployment of EHS modules (e.g., SAP EHS, EHSM) to align with organizational needs. Business Process Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand EHS requirements and translate them into system specifications. Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to local and international EHS regulations, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, REACH, and GHS. Incident & Risk Management: Implement solutions for incident recording, investigation, and risk assessments. Data Management: Oversee the management of safety data sheets (SDS), hazardous substances, and environmental compliance data. Training & Support: Provide training to end-users and offer ongoing support to ensure effective system utilization. Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and propose enhancements to improve EHS processes. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 35 years in EHS consulting or system implementation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP EHS modules; familiarity with other SAP modules (MM, PM, QM, SD) is advantageous. Certifications: SAP EHS certification or equivalent is preferred. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EHS regulations and standards. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Project Experience: Involvement in at least two full-cycle SAP EHS implementations. Certifications: ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor certification. Industry Knowledge: Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, chemicals, or utilities. Work Environment Location: Positions available in Bengaluru and other major cities across India. Work Model: Hybrid work options with flexibility for remote work. Travel: Occasional travel to client sites for assessments and training.
