Looking for a BTech MBA with around 8 years of work experience in the field of International Trade and Customs with strong exposure to Trade Compliance (International / Domestic) and strong understanding of import/export classification concepts and strategies. This position will be responsible for performing global classifications in the Harmonized Tariff System and Export Control Classification Numbers . The ideal candidate will be subject matter expert to determine import/export classifications using WCO Explanatory rules, GRI, Customs and Court Rulings of different countries, EAR, ITAR, NRC etc. The compliance specialist will also work closely with and provide guidance to trade staff located globally in US, China, EU & APAC

Position Title: Foreign Trade Compliance Analyst Eligibility Criteria: Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years Job Experience: Minimum 5 years working experience in any of the following areas: logistics, transportation operations, Trade Compliance, customs brokerage, export or freight forwarding Educational: Bachelors degree in commerce, Science or Business, Certification in Trade Compliance/Foreign Trade plus Primary Responsibilities: Experience in Global Trade Compliance process Review and audit of customs documents like (Commercial invoice, Import Entry, Packing list/Delivery Challan, Check lists, Airway Bill/Bill of Lading) Review and audit of import documents for correct EOIR & VAT registrations used Very good understanding of US FTZ process & Customs Entry Types. Report any discrepancies in documents and coordinate with respective carrier/broker for correct the documents Export compliance operations / GTS release Support management on monthly KPI and adhoc report requests Shipment track and trace using various carrier portals Should be able to drive continuous improvement projects in day-to-day activities/process. Should have exposure to problem solving tools like 5why, PDCA, etc Knowledge on global trade and compliance practices and procedure. Monitoring trade compliance exceptions and reporting. Knowledge on foreign-trade zones operations and procedure Should be able to fulfill the requirements of FTZ operations (specially US Ftz) and deviation tracking. Knowledge of Warehouse receiving and shipping process Mandatory Skills required to perform the job: Experience in working with SAP and share point sites. Experience in working with MS Excel, office, power point. Purpose Research, coordinate and support engineering staff in Trade Compliance, selection, and qualification of sourced and bought out components, assemblies, and related hardware. Ensure these components meet the product specifications and are reliable and effective. Works under limited supervision. Functions Determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications ((HTSUS) for components and finished goods, including maintaining HTS data in corporate systems. Work closely with configuration management team to maintain visibility to new item set-ups requiring classification. Review and update Local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and act as liaison with the companys broker and Corporate Trade Compliance on classification issues. Handle all Country of Origin issues including maintaining Country of Origin data in corporate systems. Work with Trade Compliance management to streamline the process associated for classification. Coordinates with Buyers to ensure that all attributes for Purchase Requisition requirements are being followed and met. Initiates communication with distributors and manufacturers to obtain and ensure that the part classification is correct and complete. Monitors the Daily report for new items added to BU from any source and ensures that all appropriate attributes are assigned. Continually checks both PLM and PeopleSoft databases for errors, inconsistencies and duplicates and make repairs as appropriate. Interfaces with Worldwide Configuration. Record keeping and history of all COTS parts including description of issues and measures taken to resolve Provide technical support for data cleanup on raw material, electrical components, hydraulic/mechanical components and faster definitions and using Engineering Change Request process to analyze modifications to COTS. Adopt and maintain a strong, ever-present, and overriding culture of safety in all facets of professional activities and actively help manage and promote Oceaneerings HSE policies and Research, co-ordinate and support engineering staff in selection and qualification of sourced and bought out components, assemblies, and related hardware. Create/Update database for COTS/Material, maintain effective COTS database to match specifications; including attribute definition, component classification, vendor definition. Interpret & use industry codes, company SOPs & standards relevant to process being designed. Perform duplicity check for all new COTS requests. Handle the COTS/Material changes and updates in PLM/PDM systems as per Business Unit specific processes. Understand and comply to established CE/SCM processes. Ascertain deliveries with required quality, within schedule. Resolve technical queries raised by customers or field technician to select/source RIGHT PRODUCT. Review work specifications/ECO etc. created by other engineers. Communicate regular progress updates to customer. Monitor & record performance/health parameters related to project assigned, take corrective actions in case of any anomaly observed, define/implement preventive action plan. Qualifications REQUIRED - Required Bachelors of Engineering with Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or other relevant educational field. - Six or more than 6 years of experience in the field of Component Engineering/Trade Compliance. - Good understanding of Trade compliance Codes and Standards - Awareness of Mechanical/Electrical industry codes/standards (e.g. ASME, ASTM, AISC, IEC tc.) DESIRED - Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Basic knowledge of PLM / PDM

Required qualification/skillset Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performing Customs HTS and ECCN classification. Preferable to have a bachelors degree in engineering Electronics, Chemicals or Mechanical stream or Masters in Biochemistry. Additional qualification in International Trade, Customs classification process is preferable. Exposure to Global countries Harmonized Tariff Schedule is advantageous. Customs Classifiers certification preferred. Excellent analyzing computer skills including data entry, PC, Windows, database and Excel spreadsheet. Desirable to be able to interpret EBOM, understand the Engineering drawings & Specifications. Experience in classifying electronic items, Biological, chemicals and Mechanical items is highly desirable. What you’ll do: Research and assign required classification to company's relevant items, including raw materials, intermediate products, packaging, finished goods and equipment. Classification SOPs must be followed to ensure that all relevant General Rules of Interpretation, General Notes and Custom Rulings are properly cited, and that records are maintained reflected drawings, technical information or and other supporting data used to achieve a high level of classification accuracy. Utilizing BOM and other information and engineering systems to assist in identifying the form, fit and function of products to arrive at accurate HTS and ECCN classification.

Job Summary Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing the continued development and implementation of a global trade compliance program. Investigative skills will be applicable in managing trade compliance with other countries, as needed. Acting as a regional trade compliance representative, you will maintain an active role in assuring compliance of import/ export activities in the company owned subsidiaries and offices in APJ. In respect of Customs regulations and import/export licence controls. Apply continuity with the global trade compliance programs by country. You will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing and addressing trade compliance risk and Customs compliance risk. Job Description The initial focus of the Regulatory Compliance Manager is Export Control matters. This includes resolving potential DPL matches, transactional work with stakeholders, review of compliance holds on strategic or controlled goods-based end use/end user. The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for collating and analyzing metrics related to export controls. The job will also involve supporting integration of systematic export controls into ERP systems. The role will develop and extend into areas of Customs (import/export) operational controls and will be responsible for process improvement and productivity improvements in that area. Responsibilities: Be a subject matter expert and escalation person for matters related to trade compliance export control, sanctions, Customs compliance. Good technical and practical knowledge in customs and export control regulations in India, experience in Asia Pacific is a plus. Knowledge of US Export Administration Regulation and APJ Import and Export regulations. Operates without supervision within established guidelines.
