You are hiring a Naval Architect for a position located in Alang, Gujarat. With at least 4 years of experience in the Ship Recycling/Ship Breaking industry, you will play a crucial role in our team. Your responsibilities will include performing detailed structural analysis and assessments of ships for recycling, preparing cutting plans adhering to safety and environmental norms, ensuring compliance with international regulations such as the Hong Kong Convention, collaborating with various teams for execution planning, and maintaining accurate documentation related to each vessel. You will also be responsible for optimizing recycling strategies for maximum material recovery while upholding safety standards. To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in ship design, dismantling, or recycling. Candidates with prior experience at the Alang Ship Breaking Yard will be given preference. A strong understanding of ship structures, hydrostatics, stability, and excellent technical communication and documentation skills are essential for this position. Preferred certifications include proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or ShipConstructor, as well as knowledge of regulations from organizations like IMO, IACS, and HKC.
