Job Description

DirectorSales/ Assistant Director Sales

Location:

Experience: 14 + yrs

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sales & Planning

Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales & marketing strategies to hit revenue, room-night, F&B, and banquet targets .
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of marketing spend and maximizing ROI .
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics to capture demand shifts in Chennai and South India.

2. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team (1015 members across corporate, banquet, rooms segments) .
Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, and provide ongoing feedback; foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

3. Business Development & Relationship Management

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients: corporate, travel trade, MICE planners, airlines, and community partners .
Drive revenue growth through proactive outreach (sales blitzes, trade shows, client events) and innovative packaging/ promotions .

4. Cross-functional Coordination & Guest Experience

Collaborate with operations, F&B, events, revenue, and digital teams to ensure seamless delivery and upselling of hotel services .
Act as a key liaison for VIPs, large groups, and media; ensure all guest needs and special arrangements are communicated and executed flawlessly .

5. Brand Positioning, PR & Sustainability

Represent Hotels in trade forums, industry events, and local media; champion brand visibility and reputation in Chennai.
Highlight hotels wellness, sustainability, and local culture initiatives in marketing efforts.
