Director - Software Engineering

You will be responsible for leading FCSD Technology's software engineering practice in India. This will involve consulting with Global FCSD software delivery teams and Business Partners to analyze current state implementations and provide guidance on Technical Architecture, Integrations, Security, and Dev Tooling. Your role will also include creating, socializing, and publishing Technical Architecture Standards and Reuse patterns. These resources will help software delivery teams implement solutions more efficiently, integrate with Enterprise Systems, and align with best practices. Collaboration with Enterprise IT Operations, Cyber Security, General Counsel, and Dev Enablement teams is crucial to ensure that Technical Architecture Standards and reuse patterns align with Enterprise Cloud and API Strategy, Security, and Privacy Policy. Your input will help make these standards practical and easy for software delivery teams to adopt. You will be responsible for establishing and operating the software engineering community of practice in India, as well as managing relationships with vendors. Providing consulting on license usage and future needs will also be part of your responsibilities. Continuing to develop technical specialization and expertise is essential. This includes sharing, consulting, and transferring technical expertise to others within Ford, as well as deepening domain knowledge through external conferences, publications, and courses.,
