Digital Media and Graphics Designer
This role is crucial in shaping the visual identity and digital storytelling of the Academy across various platforms. The designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and producing a wide range of compelling digital media content, graphics, and illustrations that effectively communicate our mission, achievements, and services to diverse internal and external audiences.

Key Roles and Responsibilities I. Core Responsibilities
Serve as the digital media and graphics designer for all website, social media and other platforms, based on organizational requirements and updates for the Website, social media and other audio-visual media requirements within St. John s National Academy of Health Sciences. Will report to Digital Transformation Analyst and coordinate with all Academy stakeholders to develop and manage digital media content. Will collaborate with the Website and Digital Media Coordinator and with the website development and support teams. Conduct regular meetings and workshops and document the same with stakeholders to discuss website, social-media, audio-visual needs, gather input, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. II. Specific Responsibilities
1.Digital Media Content Creation and Production

Video Production: Conceptualize, storyboard, shoot (where applicable), edit, and produce high-quality video content for the Academys website, social media channels, promotional campaigns, and educational purposes. This includes interviews, event highlights, testimonials, and informational videos. Motion Graphics Animation: Design and create engaging motion graphics, animated explainers, and visual effects to enhance video content and create standalone animated pieces for digital platforms. Audio Production: Edit and optimize audio for video content, podcasts, or other digital audio initiatives, ensuring clear sound quality and professional presentation. Interactive Media: Explore and develop interactive digital content elements, such as interactive infographics, quizzes, or presentations, to enhance user engagement. Platform Optimization: Ensure all digital media content is optimized for various platforms (e.g., website, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) regarding aspect ratios, file sizes, and best practices for each channel. 2.Graphic Design Illustration:
Web Graphics: Design visually appealing and user-friendly graphics for the Academys website, including banners, hero images, icons, call-to-action buttons, and visually rich content sections. Social Media Visuals: Create dynamic and shareable graphics tailored for various social media platforms, including posts, stories, and profile elements, to increase engagement and brand visibility. Infographics Data Visualization: Transform complex medical, research, or institutional data into clear, concise, and aesthetically pleasing infographics and data visualizations. Digital Illustrations: Develop custom digital illustrations, diagrams, and schematics to explain complex concepts, processes, or anatomical structures for educational and informational purposes. Presentation Design: Design professional and impactful digital presentations for internal and external stakeholders, conferences, and academic events. Branding Visual Identity: Ensure strict adherence to St. Johns National Academy of Health Sciences brand guidelines and visual identity across all design outputs, maintaining consistency in color palettes, typography, imagery, and overall aesthetic. 3.Collaboration Strategy Support
Content Strategy Input: Provide creative input and design expertise to support the overall digital content strategy, identifying opportunities for visual storytelling and media integration. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (Medical College, Hospitals, Nursing College, Geriatric Centre, Research Institute, HR, Marketing, PR, IT) to understand their communication needs and translate them into effective visual solutions. Asset Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining a well-structured digital asset library for all graphic and media content, ensuring easy access and version control. Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends in digital media, graphic design, and visual communication, recommending innovative approaches and tools.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Experience:
3-5 years of professional experience in digital media production and graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of digital work (web graphics, social media visuals, video editing, motion graphics, illustrations). Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
Graphic Design: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Video Editing: Premiere Pro
Motion Graphics: After Effects
Experience with other design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Canva) is a plus. Solid understanding of design principles (typography, color theory, layout, composition) and user experience (UX) best practices for digital platforms. Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and visually appealing digital content. Strong conceptualization skills with the ability to bring ideas to life visually. Excellent communication skills, both visual and verbal, with the ability to articulate design choices and receive constructive feedback. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Experience in the healthcare or academic sector is an advantage but not mandatory.
