In this role, your responsibilities include project delivery, design management, and project management to position and win projects involving a range of services. You will collaborate with commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate various projects. Your tasks will involve reviewing and checking effort-hour estimations, process deliverables for proposal preparation, conducting feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering. You will also review and check process design deliverables, ensure clear definition of interfaces between disciplines, capture accurate process design inputs, and accurately specify process requirements for packages. Furthermore, you will participate in technical discussions with owners, licensors, and suppliers to develop process schemes, evaluate options for process schemes, conduct technical and safety reviews, monitor the status of process engineering deliverables, ensure technical quality of all process deliverables, and plan pre-commissioning and commissioning startup activities. Experience in following utility system process design including Instrument Air, Boiler, Fuel Gas, DI water, Cooling Tower, HVAC, Chilled water, Low-temperature refrigeration, Hot oil system, Wastewater treatment, Chemical storage and delivery systems, and Chemical Dosing Systems is required. To be successful in this role, you must possess a B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with First Class qualification and have 18 to 20 years of total experience in handling design activities, with at least 5 years as a Lead Engineer in projects. Experience in the Electric Battery (Lithium Ion - Cathode and Anode) sectors is a must. We are hiring at SAEL Industries Limited for our upcoming Cell line project in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh location. Job Summary: The Lead Water Packages will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle (design, execution, commissioning, and handover) of critical water treatment systems including Deionized Water (DI Water) , Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) , and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) . The role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, vendor coordination, project scheduling, operational oversight, and ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards. Position : Department Lead Role & responsibilities Operational Management: Oversee planning, installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of DI Water, ETP, and STP systems. Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and safety standards. Optimize system performance, uptime, and process efficiency through monitoring and intervention. Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors. Provide training, mentoring, and performance guidance to team members. Foster a proactive, quality-driven, and safety-conscious culture. Performance Monitoring Establish and monitor performance KPIs for water system efficiency, reliability, and cost. Conduct root cause analysis for performance deviations and implement corrective actions. Ensure timely execution as per project milestones and utility readiness plans. Project Management: Manage end-to-end project execution from basic engineering through commissioning. Interface with design consultants, OEMs, and EPC vendors to finalize technical solutions. Track project progress against plan, manage risks, control costs, and escalate issues proactively. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders (process, utility, EHS, quality, operations) and external stakeholders (vendors, consultants, statutory bodies). Provide technical updates and progress reports to project leadership and senior management. Ensure alignment between user requirements, vendor deliverables, and project objectives. Behavioral Skills: Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills. High level of accountability and attention to detail. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-pressure situations. Ethical, process-oriented, and quality-driven mindset . Preferred candidate profile 10-15 years of experience in managing installation and operations of utility water systems (DI Water / RO / DM / UF), ETP, and STP in industrial, semiconductor, solar, pharmaceutical, or large infrastructure environments. Hands-on experience in vendor coordination, commissioning, and compliance audits. Experience in managing contractors and multi-disciplinary project teams. Bachelors degree in mechanical / chemical / environmental engineering (B.E. / B.Tech)
