Design Manager - Civil and Structure

As a Design Manager of Civil Works, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the design management of civil projects to ensure successful and timely completion. This includes managing projects ranging from 50K sqft to 500K sqft, reviewing and optimizing civil structural designs, specifications, and Bill of Quantities for both new and refurbishment projects. You will also be responsible for evaluating vendor proposals, conducting technical and commercial assessments, and providing recommendations. You should possess a comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in design management of civil structures, including reviewing Design Specifications, BOQs, and optimizing scopes. Knowledge of facades and low carbon construction solutions to reduce embodied carbon would be beneficial. Your role will involve driving innovation and integrating the latest technologies to deliver world-class buildings and campuses aligned with organizational objectives. It will be your responsibility to enhance standards and specifications periodically to ensure compliance with code requirements such as the National Building Code 2016, ECBC, USGBC, LEED, and other relevant codes and green building guidelines. Additionally, you will provide support for obtaining statutory approvals in accordance with project requirements. In addition to the key responsibilities, you are expected to have a deep passion for constructing sustainable green buildings and campuses.
