The Opportunity Adobe Design, a global experience design group of over 750 individuals, is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead design efforts for Adobe Illustrator, a key component of the growing Creative Cloud business. The team works on market-leading products in digital publishing, vector graphics, imaging, video, and more. They invite individuals to contribute to building the industry-leading graphic design tool that enables creatives to design anything they can imagine. What you'll do As a Senior Design Manager at Adobe, you will collaborate with and lead a team of talented designers to create experiences for Adobe Illustrator, the industry-leading graphic design tool. The ideal candidate should possess a strong design background and experience in leading design teams. The role requires partnering with Product, Research, Engineering, and Marketing teams to define objectives, foster creativity, lead and develop designers, and champion a culture of research and validation to inform design decisions. What you need to succeed To succeed in this role, candidates should have over 10 years of experience in the product design industry, with a focus on launching products that innovate and scale by simplifying complex problems into engaging customer experiences. Additionally, 5+ years of people management and leadership experience, along with the ability to work in large global teams, are desired. Candidates should have a willingness to learn about complex subject matter, advocate for non-relatable users, champion customer-centricity, accessibility, and good design choices, and possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
