Key Responsibilities Create, maintain, and administer SQL Server databases. Ensure the databases are highly secure, available, and recoverable. Proactively monitor and tune the databases for maximum performance. Install, configure, and patch database software and complete database migrations and upgrades. Troubleshoot and solve database and application coding problems Deploy the database components for new versions of our web applications to Dev/QC/UAT and production environments. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours 9. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes Skills Required 1. Experience in SQL Server database administration. 2. Hands on with HA and DC/DR. 3. SQL Server Administration including Managing Server and Database storage. 4. Performance tuning of the database server. 5. Designing and implementing various backup/recovery strategies. 6. Initial implementation and ongoing maintenance of SQL Server Replication 7. Knowledge of Replication types, log shipping, mirroring, clustering, Always On. 8. Strong TSQL scripting and tuning experience. 9. Experience with database encryption and backup/recovery methodologies. 10. Basic understanding of Networking. (TCP/IP, Ports, IP Addresses, DNS) 11. Experience with No-SQL and/or other Open Source DBMS is a plus. 12. Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
