Database Developer

The main responsibilities of this role include administering, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases. You will be responsible for designing and implementing database structures, tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers. Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries and scripts will be a key part of your daily tasks. You will also need to plan and execute database migrations across environments with minimal downtime, perform backup and recovery tasks, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Monitoring database performance, implementing tuning techniques, and collaborating with development teams to optimize database-driven applications are essential aspects of this role. It is also expected that you maintain documentation of database environments, configurations, and procedures, as well as enforce database standards, procedures, and best practices. To be successful in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of experience as a DBA with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server. Strong experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning is a must, as well as hands-on experience with database development (stored procedures, functions, triggers). You should have proven experience with database migration and upgrade strategies, an understanding of database security, permissions, and access control, and familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, or other MS SQL tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities are also required. This is a full-time position with benefits that include a flexible schedule, leave encashment, and Provident Fund. The work schedule is on the day shift from Monday to Friday, with a yearly bonus provided. The job requires in-person work at the Chandigarh location, so the ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work is necessary. Experience with MS SQL for at least 4 years, database development for 4 years, and database migration for 4 years is required for this role.
