In your role as Tooling Support Manager (TSM), you will report directly to the Head of Section in Tooling Management. Your primary responsibility will be to provide engineering support to the Maintenance Division, ensuring that tooling issues are addressed promptly and effectively. You will oversee tooling-related projects, ensuring that they are completed within the specified time frame and budget constraints. Your daily responsibilities will include providing technical assistance to the Maintenance Division staff, engaging with customers on technical matters, managing tooling projects to ensure timely completion, and collaborating with aircraft manufacturers, airlines, and tooling OEMs. Additionally, you will play a key role in reviewing, developing, and updating internal tooling policies and instructions to align with regulatory requirements. Your ability to prepare engineering documents in compliance with company and regulatory standards will be crucial to your success in this role. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance tooling management or a related field. You must possess strong supervisory skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Sound business acumen and project management skills will be essential in managing tooling-related projects effectively. A tertiary degree in engineering or a relevant discipline is required for this role. Additionally, advanced knowledge of computer software, proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formula and filter usage), and familiarity with programming languages such as Python, databases like SQL, and data schemas like XML will be advantageous. Responsibilities and Tasks Understand the Business Problem and the Relevant Data Maintain and understanding of company and department strategy Translate analysis requirements into data requirements Identify and understand the data sources that are relevant to the business problem Develop conceptual models that capture relationships within the data Define the data-quality objectives for the solution Be a subject matter expert in data sources and reporting options Architect Data Management Systems Use understanding of the business problem and the nature of the data to select appropriate data management systems (Big Data, OLTP, OLAP, etc.) Design and implement optimum data structures in the appropriate data management system (GCP BQ, Snowflake, SQL server etc.) to satisfy the data requirements Plan methods for archiving/deleting of information Develop, Automate, and Orchestrate an Ecosystem of ETL Processes for Varying Volumes of Data Identify and select the optimum methods of access for each data source (real-time/streaming, batch, delayed, static) Determine transformation requirements and develop processes to bring structured and unstructured data from the source to a new physical data model Develop processes to efficiently load the transformed data into the data management system Prepare Data to Meet Analysis Requirements Work with the data scientist to implement strategies for cleaning and preparing data for analysis (e.g., outliers, missing data, etc.) Develop and code data extracts Follow standard methodologies to ensure data quality and data integrity Ensure that the data is fit to use for data science applications Qualifications and Experience: 4-7 years of experience developing, delivering, and/or supporting data engineering, advanced analytics or business intelligence solutions Ability to work with multiple operating systems and generic tools. Experienced in developing ETL/ELT processes using Apache Ni-Fi, Cloud solutions like GCP, Big Query and Snowflake or any equivalent etc. Significant experience with big data processing and/or developing applications and data sources using different cloud services etc. Experienced in integration with different Ingestion, Scheduling, logging, Alerting and Monitoring cloud services. Understanding of how distributed systems work Familiarity with software architecture (data structures, data schemas, etc.) Strong working knowledge of databases (Cloud DBs like BQ, Snowflake, AlloyDB or any equivalents etc.) including SQL and NoSQL. Strong mathematics background, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) Experience working in a global, multi-functional environment Minimum of 2 years experience in any of the following: At least one high-level client, object-oriented language (e.g., C#, C++, JAVA, Python, Perl, etc.) at least one or more web programming language (PHP, MySQL, Python, Perl, JavaScript, ASP, etc.) one or more Data Extraction Tools (SSIS, Informatica etc.) Software development Ability to travel as needed Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field of study. You should have 8-12 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, with at least 3 years as an Azure data engineer. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. You must be proficient in Python, SQL, and have a deep understanding of PySpark. Additionally, expertise in Databricks or similar big data solutions is necessary. Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, data structures, and software architecture is expected. You should have proven experience in designing and deploying high-performance data processing systems and extensive experience with Azure cloud data platforms. As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable and robust data management systems. You will apply data warehousing concepts to design and implement data warehouse tables in line with business requirements. Building complex ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data migration and transformation across platforms and Enterprise systems such as Oracle ERP, ERP Fusion, and Salesforce is essential. You must have the ability and expertise to extract data from various sources like APIs, JSONs, and Databases. Utilizing PySpark and Databricks within the Azure ecosystem to manipulate large datasets, improve performance, and enhance scalability of data operations will be a part of your role. Developing and implementing Azure-based data architectures consistent across multiple projects while adhering to best practices and standards is required. Leading initiatives for data integrity and normalization within Azure data storage and processing environments is expected. You will evaluate and optimize Azure-based database systems for performance efficiency, reusability, reliability, and scalability. Additionally, troubleshooting complex data-related issues within Azure and providing expert guidance and support to the team is necessary. Ensuring all data processes adhere to governance, data security, and privacy regulations is also a critical part of the role.,
