Data Product Owner Tech Product Owner 1 Job title: Data Product Owner (18-24 Months Secondment) Location: Leeds, London, Sofia, Dublin, Hyderabad Overview of the role: We are looking for a Data Product Owner to join our dynamic and innovative Data & Analytics tribe on an 18 - 24 month secondment. As a key team member, you will collaborate closely with collaborators on priority data projects that contribute to achieving business goals. You ll be working with a modern data tech stack on AWS and be familiar with Data products. What you ll do: Develop and keep a plan for data products in your defined area, generating enthusiasm and involvement from your collaborators Manage a backlog, and prioritize work aligned with squad, team, and organizational goals Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable product requirements that align with our current data capabilities Lead your squad to deliver value in a fast-paced working environment, ensuring they re aligned to organisational goals and ways of working Serve as the main contact between collaborators and team(s), facilitating transparency in product / initiative progress Conduct workshops with collaborators to identify and prioritize essential data requirements, considering various timeframes Share your expertise in defining, delivering, managing, supporting and retiring data products & capabilities Lead product (end-user) documentation, ensuring assets are widely understood and adopted Partner with data engineering to ensure data platforms and systems are continuously improved and modernized Evidence understanding and compliance of GDPR regulations and how to treat data effectively from capture to retirement What you ll bring: You have experience working as a Product Owner / Manager, or you re from an engineering background looking to break into Product You have experience working with and delivering Data Products, at scale. Ideally this will include working on Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse, and Enterprise BI technologies. Data Migrations is a plus SQL knowledge to explore data, validate requirements, and ensure accurate delivery of data-driven features You have experience working with Cloud providers i. e. AWS You have experience of Agile Scrum/Kanban methodology - you are comfortable with writing epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, definition of done, etc. You are an effective communicator, both verbal and written You are a problem solver, and can utilise a variety of business analysis techniques You can effectively lead all aspects of and work with a diverse group of collaborators, including business leaders and data engineering teams. You approach tasks with determination, and a keen focus on achieving outcomes. You find it easy to assimilate knowledge, and share this with others You are a self-starter. You are proactive, dynamic, and motivated to add customer value
