Data Governance Analyst

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Understand all of our data definitions and nuances (e.g., attribution window) Maintain and update glossary; Advise various internal stakeholders Consult data visualization team and analysts on what data to use for new reports and analyses Recommend development or enhancement of datasets for reporting and analyses questions Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, availability, and integrity. Work closely with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to define and enforce data governance standards. Monitor and evaluate data governance processes to ensure compliance with industry best practices Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes. Integrate data from various sources into centralized data platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses). Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to support data needs. Ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, and metadata management. Maintain data catalogs and support data stewardship initiatives. Conduct audits and assessments to identify and mitigate data risks. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. Proven experience in data engineering and data governance roles. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools. Experience with cloud data platforms. Familiarity with data governance tools. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices. Experience with data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage practices. Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
