Core Responsibilities (Common to All Levels)

• Design, build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like

  Pentaho

  Talend

  , or similar
• Work on

  traditional databases

  (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle) and

  MPP/modern systems

  (Vertica, Redshift, BigQuery, MongoDB)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with

  BI, Finance, Sales, and Marketing

  teams to define data needs
• Participate in

  data modeling (ER/DW/Star schema)

  ,

  data quality checks

  data integration

• Implement solutions involving

  messaging systems (Kafka)

  REST APIs

Senior Software Engineer (5–8 Yrs)

• Focus on hands-on development of ETL pipelines, data models, and data inventory
• Assist in architecture discussions and POCs
• Good to have: Tableau/Cognos, Python/Perl scripting, GCP exposure

Tech Lead (7–10 Yrs)

• Lead mid-sized data projects and small teams
• Decide on

  ETL strategy (Push Down/Push Up)

  and

  performance tuning

• Strong working knowledge of orchestration tools, resource management, and agile delivery

Senior Tech Lead (10–12+ Yrs)

• Drive

  data architecture

  ,

  infrastructure decisions

  , and internal framework enhancements
• Oversee large-scale data ingestion, profiling, and reconciliation across systems
• Mentoring junior leads and owning stakeholder delivery end-to-end
