Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for providing critical monitoring and support for our production data environment. You will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure operational stability, triage incidents, and maintain consistent coverage in a 7-day-a-week support role. Your responsibilities will include proactively monitoring and ensuring the successful execution of scheduled ETL jobs, troubleshooting and resolving issues in data pipelines and SQL environment, and coordinating with IT teams and vendors to address infrastructure-related issues. You will follow and maintain Run Books and SOPs, support data engineering tasks, and document detailed incident reports to ensure system uptime and minimize downtime. To excel in this role, you should have 3-5+ years of experience in MS SQL Server administration and development, strong skills in SSIS and T-SQL, and proven experience in supporting ETL workflows and handling production incidents. Familiarity with SQL Agent job monitoring, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to follow operational processes and escalation protocols are essential. This is a full-time position with benefits including a flexible schedule, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and the opportunity to work from home. The shift timing is from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST, 7 days a week, with coverage provided by two developers working in rotation.
