You are an experienced Senior Cutlist Engineer specializing in interior and modular furniture manufacturing. Your main responsibilities include creating precise cutlists, optimizing material usage, and collaborating with production teams to ensure efficient execution. You will be tasked with preparing detailed cutlists for various projects such as modular furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, and interior designs. It is crucial to optimize the usage of materials like plywood, MDF, laminates, and edge bands to minimize wastage. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Cutlist Software, and CNC nesting tools is essential for creating production-ready files. Collaboration with designers, production teams, and factory managers is key to ensuring accuracy in execution. You must have a good understanding of hardware fittings, joinery methods, and factory workflows to facilitate efficient production processes. Identifying and resolving cutting or material utilization issues during production is also part of your role. Maintaining quality control and accuracy in technical documents and Bills of Materials (BOMs) is necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and mentoring junior cutlist engineers in best practices. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 4 years of experience in cutlist preparation for modular furniture or interior projects. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Cutlist software, and CNC machine operations is required. Familiarity with materials such as MDF, plywood, laminates, and veneer is essential. The ability to interpret interior design drawings and convert them into production-ready documents is also expected. Preferred skills include experience with CNC programming and nesting software, knowledge of ERP or production management software, and previous experience in factory coordination and workflow management.
