Position: Senior/Lead Piping Design Work Location: Bangalore, India Education: B.E / B. Tech Experience: 8 to 20+ Years of Experience Roles & Responsibilities: Must have minimum 8 years of experience in piping design. Experienced enough to be able to position equipment suitable for access and maintenance activities. Capable of making equipment / module layout given PFD, P&IDs, Equipment Process Data Sheets, Sized equipment list. Proficient in AutoCAD Plant3D design software. Should have Cryogenic service design experience. "Eye" for the preliminary, conceptual steel framing shape to provide support of the skid/module. Experienced enough to be able to position equipment suitable for access and maintenance activities. Understanding of the software specific administrative functions of setting up project database. Equipment layout and pipe routing of road freight modules. Equipment modeling of Vessels (generic shapes using parameterized shapes in software). Import special shape reactors from Mechanical Engineering Department (STEP). Import vendor provided 3D models of valves, pumps, etc. Model pipe supports and hangers. Supervision and workload assignment to subordinate piping designer. Interfaces with Project Manager / Project Engineer. Interfaces with Sr. Principal Piping Engineer, and Sr. Piping Designer as needed Interfaces with Process Engineering function. Job Description: a. Understating of Drawing like Equipment Layout, GA, PID, Piping Isometric b. Knowledge in Equipment Unloading, Installation and Alignment. c. Knowledge of Process Piping fabrication on site as per Isometric Drawings. d. Piping installation and testing as per applicable technical specification e. Supervision of sub-contractor work as per Technical specification,and quality policy. f. Site safety requirement understand and strictly follow at site during execution work. g. Site planning with sub-contractor for complete project within time and budget. h. Sub-contractor site work bill certification for monthly invoicing. i. Knowledge in piping pressure testing and insulation work. j. Prepared draft drawing as per site installation for As built drawings k. Participate in Pre-commissioning and commissioning of installed system.
