Job Title : Agronomist Department : Operations Agri Drone Services Location : Various Districts Across Gujarat Reporting To : Project Manager / Operations Head / Senior Executive (Drone) Position Overview We are seeking a qualified and proactive Agriculture Officer to oversee the agricultural drone spraying operations in different districts of Gujarat. The officer will be responsible for managing field operations, ensuring appropriate agrochemical/nutrient application based on crop needs, and serving as a liaison between farmers and the company. The role demands agronomic expertise, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to ensure timely and effective project execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Field Operations & Supervision Supervise drone pilots, helpers, and technical teams during spray operations. Monitor real-time field activity and ensure proper and safe execution of drone spraying. 2. Crop Advisory & Input Management Assess crop types and identify appropriate plant protection chemicals, nutrients, or biostimulants. Discuss with farmers to understand field conditions, disease/pest issues, and growth stages. Recommend and instruct the drone team on the exact inputs, dosage, and area for spraying. 3. Farmer Interaction & Support Act as the primary point of contact for farmers receiving drone services. Provide advisory support on crop health, disease prevention, nutrient application, and other agronomic issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with the farming community. 4. Project Monitoring & Reporting Ensure the project is implemented according to the plan, timeline, and quality standards. Maintain records of fields covered, inputs used, farmer feedback, and field performance. Report daily progress and issues to the central operations team. 5. Compliance & Documentation Ensure proper documentation is collected (farmer details, government forms, signed service receipts). Coordinate with local agriculture officials and adhere to government norms during spray operations. 6. Additional Duties Perform any additional project-related or administrative duties as assigned by the company. Support in training new staff or pilots on agri-input use and field management if required. Qualifications & Skills Required Educational Qualification : B.Sc./M.Sc. in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Protection, or related field. Experience : Minimum 23 years in field agriculture, crop advisory, or Agri-Tech operations. Experience with drone-based services is an added advantage. Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with crop protection chemicals and plant nutrition. Understanding of drone operations, GPS-based mapping, and precision agriculture (preferred). Skills : Strong communication and farmer-interaction skills. Good organizational, reporting, and coordination abilities. Ability to travel extensively and stay in assigned districts during project phases. Employment Type : Full-time / Project-based Remuneration : As per industry standards and experience

Role & responsibilities: 1. Field Operations Management Lead and supervise 58 Field Assistants across assigned districts Develop and implement field strategies for farmer enrolment and program scaling Set and track KPIs to ensure high performance across field activities Ensure program compliance and quality standards 2. Strategic Program Implementation Design and scale feedstock collection programs Tailor territory strategies based on crops, farmer profiles, and regional dynamics Build and maintain stakeholder relationships (lead farmers, village heads, institutions) Align field operations with head office directives and policy changes 3. Lead Farmer Network Development Identify, recruit, and train lead farmers Implement capacity-building programs for lead farmers Monitor lead farmer impact and provide technical support Design incentive and recognition programs 4. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Oversight Implement and monitor GAP for crops (Paddy, Cotton, Maize, Chili) Develop crop-specific protocols with technical teams Coordinate interventions with agronomists and resolve issues at field level Monitor GAP adoption and success 5. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and guide Field Assistants Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback Drive team motivation and retention through effective leadership Facilitate ongoing training in technical and soft skills 6. Stakeholder Management & Coordination Forge partnerships with agri departments, banks, and vendors Represent the company in district-level forums and events Liaise with procurement for feedstock logistics Manage relations with government officers and cooperatives 7.
