We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Private Equity - Credit team. This role is located in Pune, MH - HYBRID. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Confirm trade bookings against trade tickets as per client. Liaise with counterparty/client/agent for unusual trades, settlement, coordination, trade confirms or documentation. Review key economic details included on standard LMA/LSTA PAR via Markit Clearpar system. Process/review global events like paydown, drawdown, rate reset, contract roll overs in system. Validation of corporate action/restructure events. Daily cash reconciliations and break resolution with custodian records. Perform position reconciliations with loan agents/client positions. Research and resolve position breaks. Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly fund accounting reports. Ensure timely and accurate net asset value calculation. Assist in the annual audit and tax return preparation process. Assist with other accounting projects. To be successful, we're seeking the following: B.com/MBA/ degree in Accounting, Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 6 plus years of experience in Credit, Fund Accounting, Private Equity, NAV, Reconciliation. Proven work experience as a fund accountant in Private credit/Bank debt/Bank loan or similar asset class. Hands on experience in syndicated/private loans - Good at booking/validation of credit activities (Draw-down, pay-down, roll over define global amount), interest calculation. Checking/creating contracts and credit facilities in Geneva application. Experience in Loan Settlements, worked with corporate trust team on term loan, delayed draw term loan, PIK loan and revolver credits. Good at reading funding memos and credit agreements. Good at reconciliation of cash, position, un-settled trade recon and accrued interest of bank debt, bond and ABS investments. Hands-on experience with accounting software like Geneva, TLM and Investran. Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables. Experience with Journal entries posting of expenses and payments. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. At BNY, our culture speaks for itself. This role supports the end-to-end lifecycle of syndicated and infrastructure loan transactions, encompassing loan servicing, trade settlements, and operational compliance. The analyst ensures timely processing of loan events, accurate system representation, and alignment with contractual terms. The position requires close coordination with internal and external stakeholdersincluding borrowers, agents, banks, and custodiansto facilitate seamless operations and resolve exceptions. Key Responsibilities: Record loan trades and project cash flows throughout the full loan lifecycle Process loan disbursements, asset replenishments, refinancing events, repayments, rollovers, and rate fixings Prepare and distribute payment notices, rate fix notices, and fee instructions Monitor receivables, reconcile trade payments, and flag overdue items Investigate and resolve trade-related discrepancies and exceptions Liaise with Front Office, Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure accurate loan setup and operational alignment Coordinate with counterparties, facility agents, custodians, and clearing houses on settlement matters Support audit processes, system testing, and regulatory or ad-hoc reporting Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and documentation updates Mandatory Skills & Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in loan administration, project finance, or infrastructure lending Proven ability to interpret and operationalize credit agreements, including amortization schedules, fees, rate terms, and payment instructions Strong knowledge of debt financing structures, trade lifecycle events, and settlement processes Familiarity with trade workflows, loan market conventions, and settlement cycles Experience using SWIFT and trade settlement platforms (e.g., ClearPar, DTCC, Euroclear/Clearstream) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage deadlines across multiple stakeholders
