We are seeking a skilled Perl Developer to be a part of our engineering team and contribute to the development and maintenance of various software products. As a Perl Developer, your responsibilities will include writing and testing code, debugging programs, and integrating applications with third-party web services. Your success in this role will depend on your experience with server-side logic and ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Your primary goal will be to create highly responsive web applications that meet our business requirements. To excel in this position, you should have proficiency in server-side development in Perl, familiarity with CPAN and common frameworks such as Catalyst, DBIx::Class, Plack, TT, and Moose. Additionally, expertise in client-side development in Javascript, SQL/RDBMS (specifically PostgreSQL and MySQL), version control systems (like git), and the ability to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues will be beneficial. You should also be adept at rapidly and effectively context-switching and have a strong understanding of Linux OS. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge of Perl, Javascript, and Linux conventions, proficiency in Perl and Javascript testing frameworks, and expertise in refactoring techniques.
