Role & responsibilities Responsible for Concept designing, developing and prove out machines based on customer requirements using design engineering tools. To assist assembly team at shop floor for machine trails, prove outs and support during installation & commissioning. Should work under minimal guidance, be technically responsible and accountable for assigned work. Conceptual design to 3D Modelling & creating manufacturing drawing (which includes Scope, Specification, Idea, Concept Engineering, Design Verification, Design validation and Cross-functional team experience). Hand calculation for sizing structural members & optimising design. Selecting bought out items (Bearing, Belts, chain & sprockets, couplings, Gearmotors, Gears & material selections). Maintain ECN, drawing revisions as per final assembly. Communicating with Vendor for manufacturing process. Quality control for mechanical items brought out as well as manufacturing. Documentation as per ISO standard. Preferred candidate profile 1. Open to any kind of change management. 2. Effective problem-solving & trouble shooting skills. 3. Proficiency in Solid works software & exposure in solid modelling, Sheetmetal components 3D & 2D designs and creating render images. 5. Strong design background and knowledge of material selection / manufacturing & heat treatment process. 6. Knowledge of factory & industrial automation systems and processes. 7. Good knowledge of GD&T. 8. Design, research, build, test, and improve mechanical and electrical devices, equipment, and systems. 9. Design machines within other buildings / often work alongside a team /overseeing the manufacturing process. 10. Product specialisation and mentor for others.

Position Summary: Regal Rexnord is looking for an experienced product design professional with a mechanical engineering background to support Design To Order (DTO) or Engineered To Order (ETO) work involving component or layout designs. Major Responsibilities: Execute standard and ETO/DTO enquiries and orders. Modifying or optimize existing 2D/3D layouts, assemblies as per customer requirements. Create or modify component designs/drawings with a solid understanding of design tools and methods. Work on ECRs/ECNs, create complete and accurate drawing packages within assigned time. May assist in developing test plans from existing test protocol for products or components. May assist in capturing voice of customer and development of simple product specifications. Translates customer needs to manufacturing requirements. Assist in creating design documents, installation instructions, customer data sheets etc. Communicate effectively and professionally with cross functional teams and customers. Required Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed college with good academic record. 2+ years of experience in designing any industrial products like couplings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, turbines, clutches, brakes, material handling equipment or machine tools. Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficient in creating drawings and models using any of the CAD software like SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor. Experience in using any ERP and PLM will be an added advantage. Exposure to Industry standards such as ANSI/DIN/AGMA/API/ISO etc. will be an added advantage. Solid Knowledge on drafting standards. Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and with sense of urgency. Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Proficient in verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Good Analytical Skills, Decision Making, Critical Thinking Good planning and execution skills Strong interpersonal skill, Team player & collaboration skills. Travel: Regional or global, less than 10%. Language: Primarily English. Other Indian, European or Asian languages could be beneficial to work with people from those regions on any of the projects.
