Location: Nuzvid & Ongole Job Summary: The Chef/Cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious, hygienic, and tasty meals for college hostel students, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The role requires adherence to standardized recipes, portion control, timely service, and maintenance of cleanliness and food safety standards in a large-scale centralized kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook meals as per the daily menu plan covering breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. Ensure food is cooked in the required quantity and within the specified timelines. Follow standard recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and control wastage. Quality & Hygiene: Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness as per FSSAI norms. Maintain proper storage of raw and cooked food, ensuring freshness and preventing contamination. Monitor food temperature and taste before serving. Team Coordination: Coordinate with kitchen helpers, cutters, and serving staff for smooth kitchen operations. Guide and train junior cooks/helpers when required. Inventory Management: Inform the kitchen supervisor about daily stock requirements and wastage. Ensure proper usage of raw materials to minimize waste and cost. Safety Compliance: Follow safety and sanitation policies while handling kitchen equipment and utensils. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly. Key Skills & Competencies: Proven cooking skills in bulk/catering kitchen setups. Knowledge of nutritional requirements suitable for college students. Ability to maintain taste and variety while adhering to cost and portion controls. Good teamwork and communication skills. Discipline and cleanliness in kitchen work. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 10th standard pass preferred. Certificate in food production or relevant culinary training is an advantage. Experience: 2–5 years of experience in large-scale cooking in hostels, schools, canteens, or industrial kitchens. Working Conditions: Must be willing to work in shifts including early mornings and evenings. Ability to stand for long hours and handle physically demanding tasks. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location: In person
