Concept Designer

As a Concept Designer at BotLab Dynamics, you will play a crucial role in redefining the future of live entertainment through cutting-edge drone light shows and immersive visual campaigns. Your primary responsibility will be to transform creative ideas and client briefs into visually compelling stories and environments that serve as the foundation for our drone performances. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including creative directors, animators, engineers, and drone pilots, you will bring abstract ideas to life through vivid visuals, compelling storyboards, and innovative design. Key Responsibilities: - Develop original visual concepts, storyboards, and mood boards for drone light shows and creative campaigns. - Translate client briefs and abstract ideas into dynamic visual storytelling. - Define the atmosphere, tone, and visual identity of drone-based productions through environment and scene design. - Collaborate cross-functionally with animators, software engineers, and drone pilots to ensure creative feasibility. - Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and present concept art and design proposals. - Stay current with trends in design, motion, and drone technology to integrate the latest innovations. - Iterate on feedback from stakeholders and refine visuals across various stages of the design pipeline. Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Design, Fine Arts, Animation, or a related field. - Proven experience in concept design, preferably in live events, visual storytelling, or entertainment. - Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, storytelling, and creative visuals. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Procreate, or similar digital illustration tools. - Excellent understanding of color theory, lighting, composition, and mood creation. - Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to pitch and present ideas confidently. - High attention to detail, visual innovation, and ability to adapt to different artistic styles. Preferred/Bonus Skills: - Experience with 3D modeling or motion design tools. - Knowledge of branding and translating identity into compelling visuals. - Traditional sketching or hand-drawn illustration skills. - Familiarity with motion design basics or animation workflows.
