The GSOC Operator , assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest global clients, will lead the day to day activities assigned by the Supervisors induringssigned shifts within the client's centre. The Operator is responsible for managing alarms and assessing the priority of alarms and dispatching accordingly. Responsibilities Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Complete email communications regarding alarms as the process dictates. Receive proper shift handing and taking over of pending alarms action list. Manage alarms, ascertain the priority, and dispatch accordingly. Acknowledge alarm priorities as noted within the SLA. Update tickets received (Trouble Ticket), assign based on the concern, and complete follow up/closure. Create tickets for malfunctioning and excessive alarms. Work in coordination with BAC throughout the shifts to complete necessary tasks. Manage general usage and navigation of security cameras and raise TT for issues, as needed. Update the Shift Supervisor regarding escalation for remedial actions. All other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Graduate with one to three years of BMS, command centre,and/ or security experience. Freshers with good communication skills may also apply. Knowledge of world news and current events. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, and at times, stressful work environment. Able to constantly learn new tools and innovations. Client orientated and results focused. Self motivated and curious. Computer skills; Microsoft Office. Overview We are building cutting-edge software and data workflows to identify and analyze the exposure to climate change of publicly traded companies. Our data is being used downstream in our climate risk and ESG models to inform investors of companies’ climate risk. We tackle climate change at the roots and we’re looking for a (senior) developer with a strong interest in cross-functional work with domain experts to create production-ready climate data using Python as the common language. As a software developer you will be focusing on the physical risk components of our climate risk model. This requires good understanding of geographic information systems (GIS), processing of large geospatial datasets, as well as the common physical risk modeling framework (hazard x exposure x vulnerability) This work will contribute to the models and data used by the largest financial players in the world. Responsibilities • Collaboration with researchers in developing production-grade models • Designing and implementing the engineering aspects of physical risk models (hazard, exposure, vulnerability) for a performant and sustainable engineering solution. • Collaboration with researchers in developing production-grade models • Co-design and implement geospatial data workflows for physical risk models based on a common spatial platform. • Participate in the review of requirements, design, and code • Mentor other developers providing them with technical guidance in GIS Qualifications • You have multiple years of professional experience in software engineering, including Python. Ensure Security and Compliance: Cloud automation engineers ensure that cloud-based infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements. They work with IT security and compliance teams to implement security and compliance controls and ensure that they are being followed. Collaborate with IT Teams Cloud automation engineers work closely with other IT teams including developers operations and security teams. They Collaborate with these teams to ensure that cloud-based infrastructure meets the organizations requirements and can support its goals.
