1. Operations Undertake co-ordination with field people from CCR for smooth operation of the plant Measure various process parameters along with Shift In-charge. Record process parameters and plant log for the respective section, inspect specific parameters on regular basis, and perform any extra duties assigned by the Shift In-Charge Monitor the quality of the products- Raw meal, Clinker and Cement- and maintain the quality within the range as defined in the QMS procedures Keep good co-ordination with the laboratory for the feedback of quality follow the non-conformity procedure in case the product is not conforming to the standards Executes, according to the safety procedures, the necessary precautions and lock-outs. Take readings of plant parameters (tour log), energy and gas, and perform basic chemical water analysis; perform periodic functional tests on plant systems Perform administrative work related to data reporting and operating procedures Check the plant regularly, reports malfunctions to the shift supervisor and makes work request Perform shift turnovers and assures the transfer of the necessary information Make suggestions for plant and operating procedure improvements Supervise the loading and unloading of chemicals to and from the trucks Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the control room and other rooms used by operations Follow up the availability of operational consumables and reports deviation as needed Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization 2 Environmental and Health Safety Considerations Responsible for performing the operational activities to meet standards of public safety, employee safety and environmental citizenship that meet or exceed regulatory requirements Responsible for the implementation of the work permit system and suggests improvements to the Safety Head Report dangerous hazards on plant systems, work place, working environment and general public Ensure that the plant does not violate any of the environmental rules and report problems 3. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Complete the IDP Execution for self and team members as part of self and subordinate development Recommend training as required for teams development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees

Purpose of the Job Responsible for the management of the Process operations and Perform duties supporting various Sections of Process RMH, Crusher, Raw Mill, Coal mill, VSK & Rotary Kiln and Cement & Packing Mills. Key Responsibilities Plant Operations Enable Daily production planning in line with targets and execution plans. Analyse plant equipment status and plan for predictive maintenance schedules in coordination with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and performance. Review process parameters and correct deviations through analysis and solutioning, for example, installation of buffer plate in order to manage pressure parameters. Supervise corrective and preventive solutions such as regular changing of refractory and brick line to avoid frequent failure. Guide on corrective action in case deviation from process parameters and supervise execution of corrective actions, for example, why-why analysis in case of unplanned downtime. Carry out review and analysis of daily process log sheet and other key production parameters and other process indicators such as brick condition, raw mill fan, baghouse fan rpm, grinding media condition etc. Proactively drive process/system improvement initiatives such as modification and changes in processes to improve production and cost metrics, for example, introduction of latest technology to optimize cost metrics. Carry out regular interactions with internal stakeholders such as maintenance teams, quality, RMH, civil, safety etc.; Interact occasionally with external stakeholders such as vendors, contractors, OEM etc Process Excellence Identify process/system improvement initiatives to optimize overall operational costs & processes. Carry out overall cost, inventory & manpower optimization. Develops and drive process excellence initiatives such as six sigma interventions, total productivity maintenance etc. to enable superior cost efficiencies and quality levels across the organization. Optimization of plant performance with respect to output rate and production. Adherence to norms regarding power utilisation, quality, production & emission norms. Smooth execution of internal & external projects, material & manpower management, plant supervision & resolution of safety related issues & conflicts. Maximization of uptime of major plant equipment (i.e. kiln, mill etc). Employee Engagement & Safety Ensure nil lost time accidents through robust implementation of safety guidelines. Drive a culture promoting focus on environment, health and safety across the organization. Strengthen employee engagement levels in operations team building a positive working climate for all team members. Education B.E / B. Tech from Tier 1 / Tier 2 College with 18+ years of experience. Experience Typical role requires an experience of ~ 18 - 22 years in handling process section at a Cement or related plant. Role requires understanding of cement making value chain, knowledge of plant operation, optimization, knowledge of shutdown activities & project commissioning works in addition to technical knowledge of process. Make physical rounds to men at work site and machinery to access the overall process efficiency. Optimisation and controlling over all process through effective monitoring and study of QC data, control parameters and control variables. Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates .

Role & responsibilities Experience in Cement Plant Operations and optimization primarily. Raw mill (RP) and cement mill (RP +Ball mill) Being a shift duty position requires earlier hands-on experience to get familiar with logic/interlocks etc. for smooth running & safety. Site knowledge for cement mill & Raw mill RP, Ball mill with RP with flow diagram & trouble shooting. Experience in grinding media sorting and degradation, Shutdown Activity, grinding media Planning, Inventory Control, Execution & Shutdown. Grinding media top up planning and wear rate monitoring. All operation related SOP knowledge regarding Hopper cleaning/HAG cleaning etc. Production report preparation in SAP. Exposure to ISO/OHSAS/EMS/ WCM/ Safety Standards etc. Cost Optimization and Control (identify and analyze various process inputs and parameters like power etc., for cost reduction and ensure cost effective plant operation). Monitor timely execution of repairs in CM section and readiness of standby equipment for improvement of equipment availability. Monitoring and ensuring the sectional specific power consumption and product TPH. Coordination with inter departments & follow up for trouble shooting in your respective section. Monitoring stack all emissions & fugitive dust emission according to statutory standard
