Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain security controls and policies in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis for cloud infrastructure.
Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security solutions in the cloud.
Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and respond to threats.
Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
Develop and enforce cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Perform security audits, penetration testing, and remediation activities.
Maintain documentation on security architecture, policies, and incident response procedures.
Keep current with emerging cloud security trends, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or related roles.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like
AWS
,
Azure
, or
Google Cloud
.
Expertise in cloud security tools and services (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure Security Center, CloudTrail).
Strong understanding of network security, encryption, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
Familiarity with security compliance standards and frameworks.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

Desirable Skills:

Certifications such as
CCSP

AWS Certified Security Specialty

CISSP

Azure Security Engineer Associate
.
Experience with container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless security.
Knowledge of SIEM tools and cloud monitoring platforms.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience in DevOps practices and integrating security into Agile workflows.
