Collaborating with ER nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals is essential, as is providing emotional support to patients and families in high-stress situations. In addition to patient care, you will handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records and ensuring adequate medical supplies in the ER. Collaboration with other departments for testing and imaging may be required, emphasizing the importance of strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Your role will demand a strong knowledge of medical terminology and emergency care procedures, the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
