As a Manager/Assistant Manager in Decarbonization at TV SD Group in Pune, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing sustainability, decarbonization, and carbon-related strategic activities. Reporting directly to the Global Head, you will be responsible for coordinating, analyzing, and deriving action plans and presentations for strategic initiatives and projects handled by the Corporate Sustainability Office (CSO). Your key responsibilities will include gathering, coordinating, and steering key strategies and projects in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Office goals for the entire TV SD Group. You will support monthly strategy and project review calls by preparing key data reports, reviewing and following up on action points, and assisting in the handling of experts from various regions, divisions, and corporate offices. Additionally, you will work on the development of a global decarbonization/climate action service portfolio for global launch, including the preparation of marketing assets and engagement with key customers, particularly from the hard-to-abate sector. Collaboration with experts, managers, and client-facing teams will be essential in developing short to long-term strategies to enhance market presence and launch new services. To excel in this role, you should hold a Master's degree in environmental science/engineering, natural science, business management, or a related field. An additional degree in business administration and relevant working experience of at least 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years in sustainability, is required. Experience in consulting, strategy/sustainability consulting, or climate-related areas will be advantageous. Knowledge of climate change regulations, market trends, and strong analytical skills are essential for this position. Key Responsibilities: ESG Financial Integration: Incorporate sustainability and climate risk factors into financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation. Support business cases for green projects and low-carbon transition strategies. Track and report the financial performance of sustainability initiatives (e.g. ROI of renewable energy projects, carbon pricing). Sustainable Reporting & Disclosures: Lead preparation of ESG and sustainability reports aligned with GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP, or CSRD frameworks. Ensure consistency between financial and non-financial reporting. Liaise with finance and sustainability teams to collect and validate ESG-related financial data. Green Finance & Investments: Support issuance of green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and other ESG-aligned financial instruments. Monitor regulatory developments around sustainable finance and align internal practices. Engage with banks, rating agencies, and investors on ESG-related financial disclosures. Risk Management & Compliance: Assist in identifying and managing ESG-related financial risks (e.g. carbon taxes, regulatory risks, climate impacts). Ensure alignment with global standards and regulatory compliance in sustainability accounting. Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building: Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, operations, legal) on ESG performance metrics. Provide ESG training to finance teams and build cross-functional awareness. Prepare presentations for senior management, investors, and ESG rating agencies. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Environmental Science. MBA, CFA, or sustainability certification (e.g. GARP SCR, SASB FSA Credential, IFRS S1/S2) preferred. Experience: 510 years of experience in finance, accounting, or sustainability roles. Experience in ESG reporting, green finance, or impact investing is highly preferred. Skills: Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, climate finance, and sustainability reporting standards Financial modeling and business case development for sustainability projects Excellent data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with ESG software/tools (e.g., Enablon, EcoVadis, Workiva)

Role & responsibilities 1. Financial Modelling Build and manage financial models for all carbon business investments across various carbon credit-generating projects and regions. Maintain and refine existing models in close coordination with the Origination, Sales, and Finance teams. Review, validate, and perform quality checks on financial models submitted by third parties or partners. 2. Capital Raise and Co-investment Support leadership in raising third-party capital (equity or debt) for carbon projects. Identify and engage with potential co-investors and lenders. Manage investor interactions including data room preparation, term sheet negotiation, and co-investment procurement processes. Prepare and negotiate investment documents and definitive agreements. 3. Grant Mobilization and Blended Finance Support leadership in identifying and engaging with domestic and international grant providers for carbon projects. Manage grant-related processes including data rooms, procurement, and structuring of blended finance mechanisms. Prepare and negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements. 4. Strategic Presentations Prepare high-quality presentations for internal and external stakeholders, covering project financials, investment rationale, and pitches to support investment decisions and fundraising initiatives. Preferred candidate profile At least 8 years of demonstrable experience in (i) financial modelling and (ii) M&A or investment experience acquired in a top consulting firm, investment bank, multilateral bank, or investment firm. Bachelor and Master in relevant fields, such as business and finance. CFA would be a differentiator. Previous experience in carbon-related investments would be a differentiator. Interest in carbon finance/sustainable finance. Able to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
