As a Technical Writer from the Financial/Trading domain with expertise in Exchange Connectivity, IB (Interactive Brokers), and FIX Protocol, you will be part of the Trading Software and Services documentation group, which comprises 18 technical writers globally. This role specifically based in Pune offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a seasoned team in a product company. Your primary responsibility will involve creating and maintaining user documentation that is crucial for the products" success. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with project and product managers to outline documentation content, working in conjunction with developers, QA engineers, and other experts globally to gather technical insights, drafting technical and functional guides, updating content as products evolve, structuring content through an XML editor, creating graphics, and sharing knowledge with team members. To excel in this role, you should possess exceptional writing skills such as the ability to comprehend target audiences and their requirements, translate complex technical information into clear and concise English, and follow writing guidelines and review processes diligently. You are expected to have experience in structured writing using XML, basic IT knowledge especially related to networks and the client-server model, and familiarity with financial markets from front to back-office perspective. Knowledge of agile principles would be advantageous. As a successful candidate, you should be fluent in English and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Being resourceful, creative, and flexible are qualities that will further enhance your performance. You must be a collaborative team player while also capable of working independently, quick to learn and follow instructions, and adept at prioritizing long-term objectives alongside short-term requirements. This position requires expertise in User Documentation, Technical Writing, networking, client-server model, Trading, FIX Protocol, Exchange Connectivity, XML, XML Editor, Front office Trading, Back office trading, and Derivatives. The ideal educational background includes a degree in B.Sc, B.Com, M.Sc, MCA, B.E, or B.Tech within the Banking/Financial sector.
