Cleaning Line Operator

Role & responsibilities

• Cleaning & Stripping Aerospace Components: Operate various cleaning equipment to remove contaminants from components.
• Ensure that the components are prepared to meet strict inspection and repair standards.
• Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs of chemical processing equipment.
• Quality Control: Regularly inspect the quality of the cleaning processes by conducting tests on chemicals and final products.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Document and maintain batch records, operating parameters, and test results.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work follows safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals and equipment.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing waste in the cleaning operation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, chemists, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and improve operational procedures.
• Submit daily/weekly reports on production status, cleaning effectiveness, and equipment performance.
• Communicate any issues or discrepancies in process quality and suggest improvements.
• Record and report test results, maintenance activities, and chemical usage data.

Skills / Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with chemical cleaning processes, preferably in an industrial or aerospace setting.
• Knowledge of chemical agents, solvents, and surface preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining cleaning and chemical processing equipment.
• Understanding of aerospace industry standards for component quality and cleanliness.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
• Certification in safety or hazardous material handling.
