Civil Design Manager / Structural Engineer

Position: Civil Design Manager / Structural Engineer Total Experience: 10-15 years Education: B.E Civil Location: Pune Key Responsibilities: - Leading the civil engineering department for end-to-end civil engineering works. - Coordinating with the Applications team to assess the civil works scope pre-bid. - Conducting preliminary designs for prospective project structures and developing detailed BOQ of works. - Understanding civil works specifications of tenders, raising queries, and resolving issues. - Collaborating with local civil subcontractors/partners to determine unit rates. - Finalizing project's civil works cost estimate and associated execution costs. - Overseeing civil works design, ensuring timely document submission, approval, and on-time performance. - Assisting in evaluating site conditions, setting up site coordinates, and finalizing plant layout. - Leading discussions with civil subcontractors, negotiating unit rates, and finalizing the civil works agency. - Projecting extra work to the customer, defending company claims, and settling extra claims with subcontractors. - Monitoring work progress by visiting the site. - Establishing a pool of region-wise sub-contractors. - Managing the civil design repository, creating standardized designs for cost optimization. - Representing as a civil leader in client interactions for all civil works-related matters.
