Position: Senior Citrix Administrator Location: Chennai (Work from Office) Job Type: Full-time Total Experience 8 Years Relevant Experience – 5 years (Mandatory) Timings: 24 / 7 Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Citrix Administrator to manage, support, and optimize Citrix environments for enterprise-scale deployments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, and related technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities: • Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Citrix infrastructure, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and Citrix StoreFront. • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of Citrix-related issues, escalating to vendors if necessary. • Implement, configure, and maintain Citrix policies, profiles, and group policies for an optimal enduser experience. • Manage Citrix licensing, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance. • Work closely with networking, security, and server teams to maintain a secure and compliant Citrix environment. • Support OS-level troubleshooting for Windows Server environments related to Citrix. • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools. • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal impact on business operations. • Ensure compliance with security best practices, including multifactor authentication (MFA) and role-based access controls (RBAC). • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to enhance knowledge sharing within the team. Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of experience managing Citrix environments, with at least 2 years at a Level 3 capacity. • Expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Director, and Citrix Profile Management. • Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP. • Experience with Citrix Cloud, Citrix Workspace, or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a plus. • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Citrix automation and administration. • Hands-on experience with Citrix monitoring tools such as Citrix Director, ControlUp, or eG Innovations. • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP) as they relate to Citrix environments. • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze Citrix logs, performance metrics, and event viewer logs. • Experience with ITIL processes, incident, change, and problem management frameworks. Certifications (Any 2 mandatory): • Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V) • Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (if working with Citrix Cloud/Azure Virtual Desktop) Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Adaptability in a fast-paced IT environment. Advanced System Administrators, possessing effective communication and problem-solving skills, will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of Citrix environments. This includes ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions. Education and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in administering and supporting Citrix. Proven experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops . Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Experience in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell). Certifications:Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) or other relevant certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCE-V) are a plus. Responsibilities Implementation and Configuration: Implement and configure Citrix environments including but not limited to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops . Configure and manage Citrix policies, profiles, and user sessions . Deploy and configure Citrix ADC for load balancing and secure remote access. Administration and Support: Administer and maintain Citrix infrastructure, including updates, patches, and upgrades. Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Citrix-related issues. Monitor and optimize Citrix environments for performance, reliability, and scalability . Manage and maintain Citrix licensing . Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices within Citrix environments. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate Citrix solutions with other systems and applications. Provide guidance and support to junior team members and other IT staff. Document procedures, configurations, and solutions for knowledge transfer. Additional Duties & Responsibilities: In-depth knowledge of Citrix architecture and components . Strong understanding of networking, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policy . Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills . Strong scripting skills , particularly with PowerShell. Familiarity with monitoring and performance tools .
