Responsible for the overall design in terms of feasibility, Economics, strength, and integrity of the structures. Overall, the duties of structural engineers begin with planning through proper coordination with the architects and MEP engineers, and Vendor designer. Upon proper coordination, Truss Load confirmations for proposed /Existing Truss . and PEB structures and floor load confirmations. Etc. Proposed the new building RCC/PEB , Provide the architectural and structural civil drawings etc. and study the load requirements using respective software’s ( Like staddpro, ETabs, ) .other etc. Confirm the GFC drawing verifications submitted by Design Built Vendor . Discussed the assigned project submitted, with the authority having the jurisdiction, and addressed the comments until successfully getting the project approval and building permit. Although we have structural engineers Site Inspection , sometimes we need to visit sites to address design-related issues, an inspection of works carried out on-site, and monitors quality to ensure that the contractor met the standard of construction with compliance to approved drawings. Responsible for the submission of Progress reports or Periodical Inspection Reports for the projects involved. And Design study report submission. Working knowledge of relevant structural design software e.g. ETABS, SAFE, Staad. Pro, SAP200, and Prokon etc. Practical experience in design and detailing related codes, Iindian standard codes and , NBC standards, ACI, British, European codes, local codes, etc. Ability to manage and supervise works carried out on-site for project monitoring and addressing design-related issues as required.
