Role & responsibilities Job Summary To oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and compliance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), To manage all utility systemsincluding chillers, compressors, LT Room, Cooling tower, battery room, AC, Scrubbers and water systemsensuring uninterrupted service, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities ETP Oversee daily ETP operations ensuring efficient and continuous functioning of treatment units. Maintain compliance with pollution control norms and environmental regulations. Monitor and analyze effluent parametersconduct water sampling and ensure discharge within permissible limits. Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps, aerators, filters, and associated equipment. Manage chemical inventory and ensure safe storage, handling, and dosing practices. Coordinate with internal departments (production, Lab,) for waste minimization strategies and frequency Drive process optimization projects for cost reduction and energy efficiency. Utility Oversee operations of utility systems like steam, water, power, compressed air, HVAC, and chilled water. Ensure energy efficiency through monitoring consumption and implementing conservation initiatives. Maintain equipment reliability through robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, AMC, and technical support. Ensure regulatory compliance for emissions, noise, and other environmental norms related to utility systems. Prepare budgets and track utility expenses; suggest cost-reduction strategies. Lead a team of technicians and supervisors and conduct periodic training. Monitor real-time system performance using SCADA, PLC, or other control systems. Manage emergency situations such as power failures or equipment breakdowns. Support project execution including commissioning of new utility equipment or expansions. Preferred candidate profile Diploma/Bachelors degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Environment Engineering. 12-14 years of hands-on experience in ETP and Utility Proficiency in PLC systems, ETP Process Strong troubleshooting mindset and analytical ability. Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics flows Willing to work in rotational shifts Familiarity with ISO standards, TPM and energy audits
