Role Objective : To operate and manage lab-scale extrusion lines within the R&D department, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to process standards. Key Responsibilities : Operate extrusion machinery as per the production plan provided by the Planning Manager. Coordinate with Stores to procure raw materials, additives, and packaging materials for daily operations. Monitor and maintain process parameters to ensure product quality and achieve Right First Time (RFT) production. Collaborate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, and screw changeovers. Minimize production waste and scrap, and ensure accurate recording of shift-wise production and material consumption. Implement SOPs for each grade being produced and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Performance Metrics (KRA/KPIs ): First-time pass rate Scrap generation and yield WIP generation and consumption Inventory loss and lump separation Reduction in changeover time 5S implementation Internal Interactions: Quality Control (QC) Planning and Maintenance teams Qualification & Experience: Diploma / DPET / CIPET 5 -7 years of experience in polymer compounding extrusion Required Knowledge & Skills: Engineering polymer compounding and extrusion process control Feeder and conveying system automation ISO documentation, Kaizen, TQM, process safety Changeover management and cross-functional collaboration
