If this sounds like you, we invite you to consider the following opportunity: As part of our team, you will be responsible for: - Conducting preliminary and detailed aerodynamic design activities utilizing 1D, 2D design and analysis tools, as well as steady-state and unsteady CFD simulation. - Enhancing our aero design and optimization toolkit through coding and Machine Learning. In addition, the following responsibilities would be a plus: - Assisting in defining engine and rig compressor test programs to support new product development projects. Conducting pre and post-engine test analyses. - Utilizing analysis tools and test data to predict Compressor Blade aero-mechanical vibration behavior. - Providing assistance in fault finding and root cause investigation activities. Qualifications and Experience required for this role include: - A Postgraduate degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with specialization in Aerodynamics, CFD, or a related technical discipline. - Prior experience in power, propulsion, or aerospace engineering would be advantageous. - Knowledge of axial compressor design principles and operations. - Some exposure to using CFD tools for meshing and solving. - Experience with coding languages such as Python, Git, or others. Additionally, you must be proficient in setting up cases and conducting simulations based on provided guidelines, demonstrating a solid understanding of CFD fundamentals. Your hands-on experience should extend to conducting CFD simulations using tools such as ANSYS-FLUENT, Altair nanofluidX, and pre-processing tools like ANSA and Hypermesh. Your role will encompass various responsibilities, including performing CFD projects, mesh, and geometry modifications. You should have experience in conducting thermal simulations under the vehicle hood, external aerodynamic simulations, water wading, dirt simulations, battery thermal simulations, and HVAC simulations within the automotive domain, particularly focusing on demist/defrost scenarios. Furthermore, expertise in aero noise simulations for HVAC and external aero simulations will be beneficial.
