Job Summary:

Ojin Bakes, a growing bakery in Kozhikode known for its quality and freshness, is looking for a friendly and efficient Cashier and Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions, promoting bakery products, maintaining the display area, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery products.
• Operate the billing counter (POS machine) and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
• Keep track of sales, issue receipts, and balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the counter and display shelves.
• Refill stock, organize products, and ensure attractive product presentation.
• Handle customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve minor complaints.
• Coordinate with the baking team for availability and freshness of items.
• Follow all hygiene and food safety standards.

Requirements:

• Education: SSLC / Plus Two or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year experience in retail, preferably in a bakery or food outlet. Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
• Basic knowledge of operating POS systems and handling cash.
• Friendly, customer-oriented personality with good communication skills in Malayalam (basic English and/or Hindi is a plus).
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must be punctual, trustworthy, and a team player.
