Key Responsibilities: • Test Automation Engineer: Accountable for designing, coding, testing, documenting, and implementing automation scope and solutions for all identified test cases. Implement test automation strategies, design automation frameworks, and identify automation opportunities. Develop test scripts, test conditions, and support test script issue resolution and test execution. • Design, Develop, and Maintain Automated Test Scripts: Create and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca to ensure comprehensive test coverage for various aspects of the application, including UI, API, and database interactions. • Test Strategy and Planning: Participate in defining the test strategy and planning for projects, ensuring that automated tests are aligned with overall quality goals and business requirements. • Execute and Analyze Test Suites: Execute test suites and analyze results to identify defects, track progress, and improve test coverage. • Database Testing and SQL: Perform database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and application functionality. • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure successful test execution. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for test cases, scripts, and results to facilitate troubleshooting and future maintenance. • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in automated tests to ensure efficient and reliable execution. • Mentorship and Guidance: May be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior test automation engineers. • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in the test automation process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Required Skills: • Expert-level proficiency in Tosca Testsuite: Deep understanding of Tosca's capabilities, features, and best practices. • SQL and Database Testing: Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in performing database testing and data validation. • Automation Framework Development: Experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks. • Agile/Scrum: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and their application to test automation. • SDLC and STLC: Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). • Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to automated tests. • Communication and collaboration skills: Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders and collaborate on test projects.
