Job Description

Job Title: IT/OT Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled IT/OT Architect to join our team and lead the implementation of integrated IT and OT solutions to enhance the manufacturing processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

System Design and Architecture:
Design and implement robust IT/OT architectures that integrate seamlessly with our manufacturing processes. This includes defining the structure, components, modules, interfaces, and data for systems to meet specified requirements.
Technology Evaluation:
Assess and select appropriate technologies and tools for the development and implementation of IT/OT solutions. Stay updated with the latest technological trends and innovations.
Integration:
Ensure seamless integration of IT systems with operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and MES, to optimize manufacturing processes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and developers, to ensure that the architecture aligns with business objectives and technical requirements.
Documentation:
Create comprehensive documentation that outlines the architecture, design decisions, and implementation strategies, serving as a reference for future development and maintenance.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that the architecture meets quality standards and adheres to best practices in software development and system integration.
Security:
Implement robust security measures to protect both IT and OT systems from cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Project Management:
Lead and manage IT/OT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT/OT architecture, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of IT and OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, MES, ERP systems, and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure). Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to the industry.
Role & responsibilities

Problem-Solving Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in integrating IT and OT systems.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Project Management:
Proven experience in managing large-scale IT/OT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Security Awareness:
In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to safeguard IT and OT systems.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and industry trends.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Azure Architect or certifications in specific IT/OT technologies.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the metal manufacturing industry and its specific IT/OT requirements.
