We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer with hands-on experience in AV rack build design, including a strong background in electronics, and proficiency in 2D/3D design tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed technical drawings and layouts for AV racks and electronic components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for AV rack layouts, panel designs, and wiring schematics.
• Design and document custom AV rack solutions based on system specifications and client requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, installation, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of AV systems.
• Optimize space and thermal management within rack designs.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Apply knowledge of electronics components, wiring, ventilation, and cable management in designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/EIA, ISO).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in AV industry or related electronics field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools.
• Experience with rack elevation diagrams, panel layouts, and schematic drawings.
• Understanding of AV systems, signal flow, connectors, and electronics equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• Experience working with AV integrators or system integration firms.
• Knowledge of industry-standard AV brands and rack-mountable devices.
• Familiarity with Revit, Inventor, or other advanced CAD tools is a plus.
