The company focuses on delivering customized Safety and Luxury products to OEMs in India and overseas markets. Products include EV fridges, portable refrigerators, rear view camera systems, parking sensor systems, and variety of infotainment & entertainment systems. Job Summary: The CAD Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, especially SolidWorks. The role requires working closely with the product development and R&D team to develop innovative and efficient designs for automotive accessories and enclosures. Develop 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks . Create and manage BOMs (Bill of Materials) for new and existing products. Collaborate with electrical, procurement, and production teams to ensure design feasibility. Support the product development lifecycle from concept to production. Evaluate and select materials and components suitable for plastic, sheet metal, and thermoforming processes. Work on prototyping, testing, and validating product designs. Coordinate with tooling vendors for die and mold development. Review and interpret 2D/3D drawings for manufacturing. Key Skills & Tools: Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and 3D modeling Understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, thermoforming) Hands-on experience in tooling coordination Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings Ability to work on product innovation and design problem-solving Qualifications: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer products or automotive Preferred Experience: Designing plastic parts , sheet metal components , and automotive enclosures Exposure to product testing and prototyping Coordination with cross-functional teams and vendors Preferred candidate profile
