Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Market Development & Strategic Growth

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international defense/aerospace sectors.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape to shape companys strategic direction.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with OEMs, system integrators, and global defense players.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with defense services (Army, Navy, Air Force), DRDO, MoD, DPSUs, HAL, ISRO, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead pre-sales engagements, presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
  • Serve as the company’s representative at defense expos, industry forums, and government outreach programs.

Bidding & Proposal Management

  • Drive end-to-end proposal management including RFI/RFP analysis, bid strategy, compliance, pricing, and submission.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, projects) to prepare competitive, compliant, and compelling proposals.

Program Capture & Contract Negotiations

  • Lead program capture strategies and pursuits for large defense projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, MoUs, NDAs, and offset agreements in line with company and government policies.
  • Support post-award business engagement for long-term account growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10–20 years of experience in business development roles in defense, aerospace, or homeland security sector.
  • In-depth understanding of Indian and international defense procurement frameworks (DPP/DAP, GFR, offset policy, etc.).
  • Proven track record of winning large defense/aerospace projects.
  • Strong relationships with key government stakeholders, defense PSUs, and private OEMs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ex-armed forces background (especially in procurement, technical services, or planning roles) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with exports, foreign OEMs, and defense attach networks.
  • Familiarity with UAVs, weapon systems, avionics, radar, communications, or aerospace platforms is a strong plus.
