As a Systems Engineer/REACT Developer at Zoetis India Capability Center (ZICC) in Hyderabad, you will work under the guidance of the ZTD IT Engineering and Technology Lead, ZTD R&D. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, document, and deploy solutions for a suite of data and analytic solutions within a customer-facing web application. It will be crucial for you to develop a deep understanding of the applications in your portfolio, including data accessibility, administration, upgrades, integration points, etc. You will also be accountable for ongoing maintenance of the application and coordinating maintenance activities with supporting groups such as infrastructure and networking. Additionally, you will be expected to plan internal and external resource needs during the lifecycle of the applications. Your role will involve contributing to the VMRD business initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions in alignment with the company's objectives. Your responsibilities will include developing front-end features according to business specifications using various JS libraries and tools, writing unit and end-to-end tests for existing code, fixing bugs, maintaining and updating the system as needed, integrating first and third-party APIs, and documenting system components. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior developers, ensuring the feasibility of UI/UX designs, and collaborating closely with UI designers, Technical Business Analysts, and Verification teams. Furthermore, you will create and implement systems design and application software configuration for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and SaaS systems to support Zoetis R&D business initiatives. Your role will also involve guiding third-party development teams for custom solution implementations and upgrades, providing technical expertise to solution delivery teams, and translating business requirements into innovative solutions and system configurations. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to provide technology consultation, software and technology support, continuous learning, and expertise in application engineering subject matter. You will collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization, including ZTD R&D Solution Partners, ZTD R&D Systems Engineers, ZTD Centers Of Excellence, and VMRD business SMEs from multiple product lines and departments. Your role will also involve managing technical direction for up to 4 contingent workers and providing Level 3 and 4 support for VMRD software and technology. To be successful in this role, you must possess at least 5 years of experience in information technology or a related field, an undergraduate degree related to Information Technology or Computer Science, and experience in designing and building systems and information solutions. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, NodeJS, RESTful Design, Git, and unit testing is essential. You should also have experience with technical writing, software testing, and collaborating with colleagues across different regions. Strong communication skills, the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and the capacity to work independently with minimal direction are key attributes for this role. Additionally, familiarity with CI/CD tools, commercial cloud platforms, and project management principles will be advantageous.
