Role & responsibilities:- Maintenance Planning & Execution: Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of boiler systems, including pressure parts, soot blowers, APH, ESP, fans, and ducting. Coordinate annual overhauls, shutdown maintenance, and emergency repairs with minimal downtime. Reliability & Performance: Monitor equipment performance and analyze failures; implement corrective actions to improve reliability. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring failures and execute improvement. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR), statutory norms. and internal safety standards. Conduct risk assessments, job safety analysis (JSA), and safety audits for the boiler maintenance team. Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor and control maintenance costs, optimize spares and consumables inventory. Liaise with the procurement and stores department for timely availability of materials. Team Coordination & Reporting: Supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and contract workforce.Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports, maintenance history. and KPI dashboards. Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with operation, C&I, electrical, and other departments to align maintenance with plant needs. Engage with OEMs and service contractors for technical support and quality assurance. Functional Competencies:- Strong understanding of boiler pressure parts, IBR codes, and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of failure analysis, welding techniques, NDT methods, and inspection protocols. Proficiency in SAP/CMMS for maintenance planning, history logging, and cost tracking. Familiarity with power plant performance parameters related to boiler efficiency and heat rate. Capability to manage outages and high-pressure maintenance situations efficiently. To ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of the boiler by maintaining optimal steam pressure and flow as per process requirements while ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Key Responsibilities Operate the boiler and its auxiliaries including: ID Fan, FD Fan, PA Fan Boiler Feed Pump LP & HP Dosing Pumps Coal Feeder Ensure smooth operation of: Coal Handling System Ash Handling System Bed Material Drain & Charge PA Line Flushing Conduct physical inspection and cleaning of: Furnace Super Heater Economizer Air Pre-heater (during plant shutdown) Monitor and maintain: Boiler performance and pressure Required steam flow for process/turbine/refinery operations Effective capacity utilization under load fluctuation scenarios Maintain: Daily log sheets Workplace cleanliness and hygiene Boiler control room & coal plant housekeeping Communicate effectively with other process departments for smooth plant operations Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the concerned authority Required Skills and Knowledge Strong technical understanding of: Steam generation Mechanical systems Quality ash handling DCS/PLC systems for boiler operation Behavioral Competencies: Alertness and sense of responsibility Team communication and coordination Discipline in log keeping and routine checks Cleanliness and hygiene consciousness Working Conditions Shift-based role (including night shifts and weekends) Requires physical activity during inspections and cleanings Exposure to heat, dust, and high-pressure systems

Operate and maintain coal-fired boiler; monitor pressure, temperature, water levels; perform blowdown, water treatment; maintain logbook; ensure safety systems work; follow IBR protocols; report malfunctions.

Site Head Position Summary/Job Purpose Overall Site administration and management of 22 TPH SLOP FIRED/TRAVELLING GRADE BOILER Annual Operation plan to be prepared in consultation with the Maintenance Department, customer requirements and contractual deliverances. Budgeting: To support the Power Plant Manager in preparation of annual cost planning w.r.t. to Operation. Resources: To plan required External Services / Internal Services / Manpower Management / Sp. Tools & tackles Spares & Consumables: To Plan for Annual requirement of fuel and chemicals and Half yearly consumables requirement. To do a Competency assessment for the Operation team (ISGEC and Contractor employees). To contribute/facilitate the development of systems and processes to improve Safety, Technical, and Financial performance. Basic Knowledge of quality systems and OHSAS Knowledge about Emergency Preparedness and Response to Emergencies Daily / Monthly / Annual Key Performance Factors Defect identification and removal status (Pending) Review of Daily log sheets and log books.
